Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC, in a veiled reference to Peter Obi, said Nigerians do not need a presidential candidate spreading “foolish statistics” and “lies.”
Tinubu stated this on Tuesday during his town hall meeting with the Business Community and Organised Private Sector at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The former Governor of Lagos said the task ahead is doable but difficult and only the right party and candidate can make the bold decisions Nigeria needs.
Tinubu added that a candidate (Obi) and party (Labour Party) with no plans for Nigeria will take the country to the wrong destination.
He said: “When you asked him (Peter Obi) what he wants to do, he will say I will do the right thing, then the question is, what is the right thing you want to do, it is clear he does not know what to do. He has no plan for Nigeria.”
Also at the meeting, Tinubu laid out his Action Plan before the business leaders.
The APC presidential candidate restated his administration’s resolve to hit a double-figure Gross Domestic Product (GDP) if he wins the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu said having achieved similar economic success as Lagos State governor, he has the capacity to repeat the same in the country as president.
He said, “Lagos is an appropriate venue for this meeting.
“You may have heard that I was once governor of this dynamic economic force. However, may I remind you that when I first entered office, Lagos was a different story.
“The pragmatic problem solving and teamwork that improved Lagos, I want to bring to this nation.
